back to documenting my life!

Okay, so apparently I am really bad at blogging. Like REALLY BAD. But so much has happened that I want to document. First off, we are pregnant! With TWINS! We did our first IVF cycle in April. We transferred two embryos (One AMAZING quality, and one the doctor didn't even think would survive one more day), but they both ended up taking!! Talk about another tender mercy in this whole crazy journey. We are just speechless at the result of our first cycle. We feel so blessed. We know so many couples who have done IVF multiple times, to never have it work. We are just so grateful for these two sweet little babies growing in my belly. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and have had a great pregnancy overall! I have even started two feel where the babies are in my belly. It is just the most amazing thing. I can't wait to start feeling those little kicks!! I am going to start doing weekly updates!

How far along? 16 weeks + 3 days!
Total weight gain: Im not sure, I don't really weigh myself. I know its at least a few pounds though! I will find out for sure how much I've gained at my next doctor's appointment on Wednesday.
Maternity clothes:  I can still wear my jeans with a hair tie! Wearing lots of legging these days. Starting to wear some looser tops/ maternity tops.
Best moment this week: We found out the genders!! And we set up the nursery and started getting things organized. Baby clothes are just too cute.
Movement: I think I may be starting to feel little flutters. Only time will tell!
Food cravings/Aversions: This week I have been craving sweets! Ive eaten oreos a few times this week haha. Still have aversions to meat, especially chicken.
Labor signs: none thank goodness!
Belly button in or out?  Sooo its definitely starting to come out. I noticed my belly button getting more shallow by the day when I first started showing. It will be an outie in no time! Its almost completely flush with my skin right now.
What I miss: NOTHING!  We are just so grateful for this little miracle.
What I am looking forward to: My appointment on Wednesday to hopefully confirm the genders!! Also, I love getting ultrasounds. I feel so reassured after seeing these little babies kick and squirm around.
Milestones:  My next milestone is 20 weeks for the anatomy scan, and then 24 weeks for viability!
Realization of the week: That I may actually be having a boy and a girl!
Other things: We are just so grateful for these little miracles!
